What I'm Loving Today...March 24th

Kaichou wa Maid-sama

I just started watching this anime, and I'm really enjoying it. It follows Misaki Ayuzawa as she struggles to balance being Student President at a largely male school, and working part-time as a maid. Eventually Takumi Usui, a popular boy, discovers her job, and decides to help her.
This is also based on a manga, but I haven't read it (I'm still working my way through Shingeki No Kyojin).

What I'm Loving Today...March 21

Outlander
I'm only on the first episode of this show, as I bought it on iTunes  and I love it so far. It is probably a combination of the fact that I love the 1940s, Scottish accents and time travel.
I have high hopes for this show, so please let me know what you've been thinking.

Pineapple-Mango Candle
I purchased this candle today at Bath & Body Works. I have been eyeing it for quite some time, as it is part of their Hawaiian collection.
This candle smells exactly like what it says, and is a very nice candle to burn at summer parties, or when you're feeling like you wish you were on a tropical beach.
I also bought two other candles, which are just as good. I purchased Rainforest Gardenia and Peach Bellini.
I highly recommend Bath & Body Works candles.

What's Your Number
I recently watched this film for the first time, and it has skyrocketed to the top of my favourites list.
I suppose it shouldn't be a surprise, I love Anna Faris, Chris Evans (Captain America!!!)and I adore the short sections starring Chris Pratt (Starlord) and Martin Freeman (Bilbo Baggins).
This movie is one of my favourites because I really enjoy that it's about finding someone who accepts you for who you are, not who they want you to be.
I strongly recommend this film. If nothing else, watch it for the abundance of Chris Evans shirtless scenes.

And Happy St.Patrick's Day to everyone!!!

Moose Tracks Ice Cream
Moose Tracks is one of my favourite ice cream flavours. It may be only available in Canada, I truly don't know.
It is vanilla ice cream, swirled with chocolate fudge and Reese's Peanut Butter Cups.
This is a delicious ice cream flavour. If any of you are ever in the city of Kawartha Lakes or Peterborough Ontario, be sure to go to Kawartha Dairy and try Moose Tracks Ice Cream.

Easter Egg Decorating
Today was my best friend's birthday party, and we spent the entire time decorating Easter Eggs.
I always seem to forget how fun making these are...until it comes time to make them again.
Today we made them using expensive dyes Ukrainian wax applying methods. Typically, I just use cheap Walmart dyes, because they are just as fun.
BTW...If you make Easter eggs and want to keep them, put them in an egg carton, surround them with peppercorns, and throw them in your basement for a year or so. They will be preserved when you shake them around and you can hear a dry, rattling sound.

What I'm Loving Today...

Disney's Cinderella

Today I had the chance to go and see Disney's Cinderella. It is the first live-action interpretation of the tale by Disney, and it is clearly a hit.
The film stars Lily James as Cinderella, Richard Madden as the Prince (Kit), Cate Blanchett as the evil Lady Tremaine and Helena Bonham Carter as the Fairy Godmother.
The film stays true to the classic tale, only taking several liberties. They changed several things for the sake of (somewhat) historical accuracy, and to add to the story. It is essentially the same story, and does not make as many changes as Maleficent did.
Each and every actor does a wonderful job, and you will cry several times over. I should also mention that the film also stars Hayley Atwell as Cinderella's mother, and for fans of Agent Carter, it is wonderful to see her in something else.
I recommend this movie to anyone, it is great for children, and wonderful for older fans of the classic.

What I'm Loving Today...

Laura Secord's Easter Cream Eggs
Laura Secord is a Canadian chocolate company, named for the War of 1812 hero.
These cream eggs are richer than the Cadbury variety, and certainly sweeter. They can be purchased in a large size or a smaller size. They are also coated in dark chocolate, which helps contrast the sweetness of the cream.
These certainly got me into the Easter spirit, and are extremely delicious. I will be buying lots more to stock up for the rest of the year.
